Move.com, a site catering to recently relocated people and consumers interested in real estate or home services, said this week that it will make CarsDirect.com the exclusive car-buying service on its site.
A unit of direct marketing company Cendant Corp., Move.com markets the New York company’s existing offline real estate brands. Those companies include Century 21, Coldwell Banker and ERA.
CarsDirect.com, Los Angeles, will be part of Move.com’s automotive category and will be included in the site’s shopping area. Unlike a referral service that sends people to a car dealer, CarsDirect.com handles other parts of the transaction such as financing and delivery.
