Motorola Gives Tech Chalk Talk to NFL Fans

Motorola Inc. has begun an integrated marketing program that uses its relationship with the National Football League to educate football fans about the benefits and features of digital video recording and high-definition broadcasts, the Horsham, PA, company said yesterday.

The campaign kicked off Aug. 25 and continues throughout the 2004 NFL season.

The promotion showcases the Motorola DCT6412 digital cable set-top with dual-tuner DVR functionality. It features Pro Bowl running back Priest Holmes of the Kansas City Chiefs in a national television commercial, Internet banner ads, a direct mail/e-mail program and newspaper ads.

Fans are directed to a Web site where they can get more information about Motorola's dual-tuner DVR set-top technology by accessing Motorola's interactive online DVR demo.

Creative elements will educate consumers on how to get the Motorola DCT6412 from Cox Communications, a digital cable service provider that uses Motorola Digital Cable equipment.
