The service, accessible at shopping.com/xCH-mortgage_services, lets consumers compare rates from lenders nationwide. Getsmart Lending offers quotes without requiring Social Security numbers and credit reports while LendingTree promises four offers in minutes.
Potential homebuyers can customize the search and presentation of offers to cover loan amount, loan type, points, monthly payments, lender's regional profile, down payment requirements and closing costs.
Visitors also can review complete mortgage offerings and contact lenders of their choice. As the service is used, consumers will be encouraged to post lender reviews to help others looking for feedback from satisfied or dissatisfied customers.
