Data profiling and data quality solutions provider Trillium Software, a division of Harte-Hanks Inc., announced yesterday that Trillium Software System Version 7 and Discovery, formerly Avellino Discovery, are now in use at The Carphone Warehouse Group, Europe's leading independent mobile communications retailer, with 1,140 stores.
The Carphone Warehouse Group has millions of customers across the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe.
The software solution lets retailers manage the quality of customer data and link individual electronic customer records from across diverse operations to provide single customer views.
Integrated with Trillium Software System, Discovery highlights data quality trouble spots, such as missing or incorrect information. The Trillium Software System then standardizes the diverse forms that customer records may take, enabling consistent representations. It also enriches the data where possible.
Future plans for the software involve new data being entered online and managed for quality in real time, helping ensure accurate data entry during busy periods, such as at point of sale in stores.
The Carphone Warehouse's UK business operations began using the solution in January. By April 2005, the company plans to implement the software across its operations in Europe.
