MKTG Services Takes 120 MarketTouch Lists

MKTG Services, an affiliate of CBC Companies, said that it assumed management yesterday of about 120 lists formerly managed at MarketTouch effective immediately.

The move resulted from MarketTouch leaving the list management business, said Pam Mulligan, former vice president of list management for MarketTouch.

“In essence, MarketTouch has exited the list management business and formed an alliance with MKTG Services to manage the lists,” she said. “It's a total of 23 list owners and about 120 files that have moved to MKTG.”

The firms will work together on all the files for which MarketTouch acts as service bureau. The majority are business-to-business lists, and they include subscriber files, compiled files, mail-order-buyer files and donor files.

“This really expands MKTG into the BTB space, whereas up to now its specialty has been more consumer and nonprofit files,” Mulligan said. “The company was eager to expand in this direction and hopes to continue growing.”

Mulligan has joined MKTG as vice president of new business development. Her former MarketTouch colleague Paul Zelin has also joined MKTG as senior account executive, list management. Both will work from the firm's Newtown, PA, office where the list management division of the company is based. MKTG does list brokerage out of its New York headquarters.

Meanwhile, MarketTouch, Alpharetta, GA, will continue to serve the direct marketing industry as a service bureau processing and compiling lists and through its modeling and analytics services.
