MindArrow Systems Inc., a provider of online marketing software and services, has been awarded a U.S. patent relating to e-commerce technology it obtained as part of its acquisition of Control Commerce Inc.
The patent covers methods and systems that allow secure e-commerce transactions within a separate window superimposed on a Web site, an HTML page or an e-mail. With the technology, a banner, button or text can be enabled for transactions without requiring the user to leave the Web site or e-mail message.
MindArrow Systems acquired Control Commerce, New York, in May for an undisclosed amount. Control Commerce develops technology for e-commerce and customer acquisition systems.
The company said the first product to employ its newly patented technology will be called MindArrow Merchant and is expected to be offered within the next several weeks. MindArrow Merchant is expected to include a self-authoring tool for customized offers and promotions, as well as real-time feedback and tracking.
