Microsoft turns to operations lead to run ad sales

Microsoft has named Frank Holland corporate VP of its advertising and online division, the company said April 22. As Microsoft’s top ad sales executive, Holland will be responsible for working with all of the company’s advertising customers and partners.

Most recently, Holland served as corporate VP of the Redmond, Wash.-based company’s worldwide operations, overseeing its supply chain solutions and the sales readiness of its commercial and OEM businesses.

The heads of Microsoft’s respective US, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia ad sales divisions, as well as the leaders of its global agencies and accounts, global creative services and trade marketing teams will continue to report to Holland.

Earlier this month, Microsoft promoted Chris Capposela to its top marketing position, SVP of the consumer channels and central marketing group, replacing Mich Mathews who will leave the company at the end of this summer.
