Microsoft, Seattle, said yesterday it will offer its MSN digital Internet access free for six months to increase membership. The company will offer the sixth month period to customers who sign a one-year contract for $21.95 a month. The offer will end June 30.
The offer will be promoted with a $40 million marketing push, which began earlier this week and will include online advertising and 13 million CD-ROMs with MSN software. The Seattle-based company said it is Microsoft’s largest campaign.
