The Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association, Alexandria, VA, announced Friday the creation of its eighth chapter, the Northwest Chapter, in Seattle.
MFSA represents lettershops, mail houses, fulfillment companies and direct mail agencies. It has more than 750 member companies in the United States and five other countries.
Donn Irwin, vice president of MailMedia, Fife, WA, will serve as chapter president. The first meeting is scheduled for January.
“The mission of the chapter will be to improve the visibility of the industry, further common interests among members, allow for a unified lobbying voice, grow friendships and share technological advances for the industry,” he said.
The chapter will offer networking opportunities, increase members' knowledge of mailing equipment and software and host speakers on pertinent postal and business issues.
MFSA has chapters in Philadelphia, New York, New England, Chicago, the Chesapeake area, Southern California and Northern California.
Tyler Keeney, MFSA's director of membership, said, “The creation of a new chapter benefits the association through increased opportunities for members to interact to learn. And, this will strengthen member retention and attract more members in the Northwest area.”
