Metromail, Henricks Settle

Metromail came to a joint agreement with First Data Corp. on Feb. 20 to drop its lawsuits against First Data and Susan Henricks over the violation of Henricks' noncompete agreement.

Metromail, Lombard, IL, filed suit in Chicago last month to force its former president and CEO to honor her agreement and prevent her from becoming president of First Data Enterprises, Omaha, a division of First Data Corp., Hackensack, NJ, deemed to be a Metromail competitor.

“First Data and Metromail have dropped the case,” said Metromail spokeswoman Julie Springer. “We figured out a situation where Metromail’s business interests are protected to our satisfaction. This means an agreement that satisfies everybody’s needs.”

Springer confirmed that Henricks will stay with First Data, which she joined Jan. 12, but would not elaborate on her specific position. Henricks and First Data had no comment.
