In an effort to expand its business, direct marketing services provider MetroGroup has acquired Proficient Data, a transaction document management, production, and mailing services provider.
Founded in 1991, Glendale Heights, IL-based Proficient Data offers document output and distribution solutions for telecommunications, financial services, healthcare and insurance companies, as well as utilities, credit unions and collection agencies and firms seeking business-to-business direct marketing solutions.
MetroGroup, Lincoln, NE, provides direct mail production, printing, statement processing, packaging and fulfillment solutions. Now in its 60th year, the company produces and mails nearly 2 billion pieces annually from its facilities in Nebraska, Iowa and Vermont.
MetroGroup said the acquisition creates a new enterprise that allows it to offer current customers additional services, including the opportunity to use transaction mail as a vehicle to capture their targets’ attention for upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
