Database marketing agency Merkle has acquired the response services division of AB&C Group, a provider of direct response processing services.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
AB&C specializes in multichannel direct response fulfillment solutions. Based in McLean, VA, the company processes millions of orders and responses each year for leading catalog companies, direct to consumer fulfillment, fundraisers, and associations.
AB&C’s services include call center, order management, product and premium fulfillment, e-commerce fulfillment and customer service, and inventory management.
The acquired response division will become a part of Lanham, MD-based Merkle|Response, Merkle’s operational division that specializes in providing direct services that include caging, data entry and fulfillment services to organizations across the United States.
Merkle said the acquisition enhances its ability to provide direct fulfillment services, and it further strengthens the company’s position as one of the nation’s largest providers of database marketing services.
The acquisition continues Merkle’s steady push in both the commercial and nonprofit markets. Merkle claims its revenue has grown more than 25 percent each year for the past five years.
