*Merger Gives Birth to Lowe Lintas Direct

New York — The launch of a new direct marketing services agency, Lowe Lintas Direct, NY, was announced yesterday by Bruce Kelley, president of Lowe Lintas & Partners, U.S. The new company is the result of a corporate merger between Lowe Fox Pavlika and APL Direct. Lowe Lintas Direct, which supercedes the two pre-merger units in totality and is a subsidiary of Lowe Lintas & Partners will offer capabilities in direct marketing, retail marketing, database management and teleservices.

Daniel Flamberg, 46, former CEO at APL Direct, NY, will head Lowe Lintas Direct as managing director reporting to Bruce Kelley.

The new company emerges as the nation’s 15th largest direct marketing services company with 100 employees and an estimated $250 million in annual billings. Clients include Dell Computers, General Motors, Ride-Aid, Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals. The agency will be located at One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, the new residence of Lowe Lintas Partners.

Holly Pavlika, EVP, executive creative director of the former Lowe Fox Pavlika, has left the company and joined Margeotes Fertitta & Partners, New York, as creative director and managing partner.
