MediaThings Inc., a provider of rich media e-mail applications for the entertainment industry, yesterday began offering a suite of products that let marketers assemble, distribute and track interactive rich media advertising.
The company, based in Comack, N.Y., said its platform is the first to offer an open architecture. It consists of the MediaThings Assembler, MediaThings Tracker and MediaThings e-Commerce.
“The entertainment industry has been hampered by inefficient means to market and sell products and constantly struggles for an immediate return on investments,” said Corey Morrison, chairman and founder of MediaThings.
The MediaThings Assembler offers a simple interface that lets marketers build and deploy targeted e-mail campaigns, the company said. The MediaThings Tracker offer the ability to measure and track viral marketing campaigns.
The company also sells targeted opt-in e-mail lists based on demographics. With MediaThings’ forwarding capabilities, recipients may opt-in for future correspondence. Forwarded messages can easily be tracked.
