Media Advisors Group launched a broadcast media division and brought advertising and marketing veteran Paul Varisco on board to develop it, the company said yesterday.
Varisco most recently was a partner of InterMedia Direct, working with clients such as Filippo Berio, Dial-A-Mattress and Dunkin' Donuts. Prior to that he was at Dancer, Fitzgerald & Sample as partner/group media director of marketing and advertising.
Adding the division is a step toward moving the company from an insert media firm to a full-service marketing agency, which Media Advisors president Dean Barile said was his goal when he started the Brewster, NY, company in October.
“By adding this new service to our current roster of services we are now able to provide our clients with the complete range of marketing services,” Barile said. “Paul adds a component of advertising to our listing of services that is inherently lacking in direct response organizations, which is branding. This union brings both the branding and direct response worlds together in one package.”
