L. William (Bill) McNutt Jr., retired president and chairman of Corsicana-based (TX) Collin Street Bakery, was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame Oct. 16 in Dallas.
According to the TBHF, he was selected for “revolutionizing marketing methods across industries and in recognition for his international business savvy.”
McNutt assumed the presidency of the company in 1967 and pioneered its expansion into international markets while continuing domestic growth. During the next two decades, McNutt saw fruitcake sales increase from 300,000 pounds to 4 million pounds annually.
