MarketsOnDemand, a provider of permission-based marketing services, yesterday began offering CoreBase, an opt-in database that verifies e-mail and postal addresses collected online.
The company said the database is made up of more than 7 million names and is growing by about 600,000 names a month. It contains self-reported demographic and lifestyle information gathered online from consumers who opt in for marketing communications.
MarketsOnDemand said CoreBase, Chicago, features self-reported demographics enhanced with lifestyle and career information, allowing marketers to target individuals, not just households. The company claims its database is unique in that it provides both e-mail and postal addresses.
The database is available to brokers and end-users on a stand-alone or subscription basis. It is available to resellers and compilers by subscription only.
