ROSEMONT, IL. — MapInfo Corp. is expected to announce today that it has partnered with USAdata to offer, MapInfo miLists, an online marketing list service. The announcement will be made at the 27th National Center for Database Marketing Conference & Exhibition here.
The new map-enabled list service will offer marketers fast Internet access to comprehensive consumer and business prospect lists provided by Acxiom Corp. In addition to miLists, USADATA, an Acxiom strategic alliance partner, will map-enable its Direct Mail Portal technology.
Marketers will benefit from using miLists by reducing the time it takes to analyze and order lists from days to minutes. With a simple application, marketers will be able to define, analyze, understand and acquire new customers in a targeted market area. Marketers in the finance, insurance and retail industries can use miLists to plan direct mail campaigns and extract lists for specific markets.
For example, telecommunication companies can identify new customers within a specified target area and conduct ring and demographic studies for targeted campaigns. The miLists service enables users to query, define, order and download lists over the Internet and view the results as text or visualized on a map. Additionally, miLists includes a counter mechanism to provide quick counts of the number of records that meet the customer's defined criteria
MapInfo miLists will be available at www.milists.com in August.
