Mall Networks chooses SoundBite for Cyber Monday mobile push

CRM and loyalty company Mall Networks is partnering with SoundBite Communications to deploy mobile marketing offers from CyberMonday.com. The site, run by Mall Networks and owned by Shop.org, is named after the Monday following Thanksgiving, one of the biggest online shopping days of the year. The partnership was announced November 24.

The site has launched a “deal of the hour” promotion, which sends text alerts to shoppers on their mobile phones on November 30. To opt in, users can text CyberMonday to 77053 to be notified of deals as soon as they’re announced.

Alerts are also available via e-mail. Users can also follow CyberMonday.com on Facebook and Twitter for up-to-the-minute updates.

The portal has offers from more than 650 retailers, including Target, Home Depot and Barnes & Noble.

“Consumers’ growing preferences for mobile phones and text messaging provide a compelling opportunity for marketers who wish to create a deeper level of customer engagement this holiday season,” said Mark Friedman, chief marketing and business development officer of SoundBite Communications, in a statement.

SoundBite, Mall Networks and Shop.org did not return calls for comment.
