Mail.com Media Corporation (MMC), a digital media company that owns and operates Mail.com and its e-mail service, has acquired DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com (DHD).
This acquisition expands MMC’s portfolio of online lifestyle properties which already includes HollywoodLife.com, MovieLine.com and OnCars.com. Under the terms of the agreement, MMC will take control of the DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com, a news site for the entertainment and information vertical, a growing vertical in its group.
The acquisition includes a partnership with journalist, Nikki Finke, the founder and writer of DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com, who will continue to work on the site. The new partnership will also Finke to grow the site to a larger scale.
Within the first 90 days, DHD will be hiring editorial staff in New York City who will report to Finke.
