Mail Sorter Processes Pieces Big and Small

Opex Corp. has released its mail sorter called the MPS7, which processes anything from postcards to 6-pound packages.

The machine handles up to 7,200 pieces per hour, combining automatic feeding with weighing, labeling and sorting. Users can set specifications for how and where labels are placed on mail pieces.

The MPS7 will print barcodes, addresses, images such as logos and other graphics as well as the postal permit of the presort bureau. Labels can be printed in a flexible manner because of a dial mechanism that includes four possible adjustments, according to Opex, Moorestown, NJ.
