Lyris and ExactTarget introduce new e-mail tools at Ad:tech SF

Ad:tech San Francisco is the stage for e-mail marketers to bring out new tools for the e-mail marketing community.

Yesterday at the show, Lyris introduced a new Web portal to aid e-mail marketers called Lyris HQ. The new site, at, is aimed at hosting best practices and tips on issues including e-mail marketing, Web analytics and site optimization through blog posts, whitepapers, editorials and videos.

“We wanted to create a place for new e-mail content that was not only written by experts, but was written by the community,” said Blaine Mathieu, SVP of marketing at Lyris. “We have created blogs for our customers to share their experiences.”

ExactTarget, an e-mail services firm focused on small to midsize businesses, released a new do-it-yourself landing pages tool at the show. The new technology allows marketers to create personalized and general landing pages for e-mail recipients through the ExactTarget e-mail platform. These landing pages can be search engine optimized, used for transactional messaging, and include reporting capabilities.
