LookSmart Adds Ad Management Tool

NEW YORK — LookSmart, an online media and technology company specializing in vertical search, released a new version of its AdCenter API at yesterday’s SES show.

The API allows advertisers, agencies and partners to connect any type of marketing or reporting software to LookSmart’s search network with minimal effort, according to the firm.

LookSmart also signed several agreements with pay-per-click management and analytics software providers, including APEX Pacific, BidRank, ClickTracks and Omniture, to use the LookSmart API in their applications.

“The release, coupled with the integration partnerships, will help increase advertisers’ options for buying and managing campaigns with LookSmart,” said Bryan Everett, senior vice president of sales at LookSmart.
