Interchange Corp., Irvine, CA, recently launched LocalConnect, a private-label local search engine, so regional Web sites and publishers can provide local search services on their site.
On its Local.com search engine, Interchange said, companies now can customize a local engine for their Web sites and integrate their own ad listings with local and national sponsored listings from Interchange's advertiser network.
LocalConnect uses Interchange's patent-pending Keyword DNA technology, which automatically creates a searchable keyword profile for each local business. It is also using Web indexing local search technologies to crawl the Web sites of local businesses to provide up-to-date content.
