Local Council in Scotland Deploys Siebel

Moray Council, a local government authority in Scotland, is using Siebel eBusiness Applications to better serve its residents.

The council provides public services to more than 85,000 residents in northeast Scotland, including housing, social work, education, economic development, planning, roads, leisure and environmental protection. The council said integrating resident activities across departments is reducing operational costs and boosting resident satisfaction.

“Siebel Systems is playing a pivotal role in helping the council achieve this transformation,” said Mike Martin, director of community services for the Moray Council. “Their track record with other local authorities, market leadership and e-business vision are together helping the council deliver reliable, convenient and consistent service.”

Residents can submit planning applications via the Internet or can update their own records.

“Our staff can process more inquiries in a more efficient manner, and we are able to efficiently monitor each and every aspect of our service for enhanced satisfaction and resource allocation,” Martin said.

Located in more than 37 countries, Siebel Systems’ eBusiness software supports multichannel sales, marketing and customer service systems.
