Multichannel retailer L.L. Bean opened its third store outside of its home state of Maine last week as it established a presence in the Philadelphia area with a 30,000-square-foot location at The Promenade at Sagemore in Marlton, NJ.
The company, which launched its retail expansion plan two years ago, said 250,000 L.L. Bean customers live within a 25-mile radius. In addition to the company's flagship location in Freeport, ME, the company has a 75,000-square-foot store at Tysons Corner Center in McLean, VA, and a 30,000-square-foot location at The Mall in Columbia, Columbia, MD.
Other stores in the Promenade at Sagemore include Coldwater Creek, Joseph Banks, Talbots and Organized Living.
