Listen.com Plans to Purchase Scour’s Assets

Online music distributor Listen.com yesterday announced its intent to purchase the assets of embattled digital entertainment search firm Scour Inc.

The agreement was filed yesterday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles for approval.

Scour filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July. The filing automatically stays all pending litigation against the company.

The Motion Picture Association of America, the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Music Publishers’ Association all have charged Scour with copyright infringement.
