NEW YORK — What was the reaction of direct marketers on day two of the DM Days New York Conference & Expo at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center? Read on.

Tim O’Connell, account executive at Brigar Inc., Albany, NY:

“This is one of the best shows we have hit in the last couple of years, with more activity in one day than we could have hoped for in three.”

Cindy Dunhill, vice president of operations at Dunhill International List Co., Boca Raton, FL:

“The show seems to have less attendees than last year and less exhibit hall traffic.”

Amy Carraner, national sales manager at Focus USA, Hackensack, NJ:

“I think overall traffic within the exhibit hall has been strong. I think it will be a productive show for us.”

Michael Mozzone Jr., partner at Complete Mailing Lists LLC, Bronxville, NY :

“We are a first-time exhibitor. However, we have been at the show for years. We feel the traffic has been great this year.”

Scott Hardigree, chief marketing officer at Teramedia, Orlando, FL:

“The show is a lot different that last year’s show because there seem to be much fewer agencies and publishers here.”

Shawn Kingston, account manager at Edith Roman Associates, Pearl River, NY:

“This is my first show, and it’s a little slow. However, there are a lot of good people to meet here.”

Mark Smith, sales associate at Acxiom Corp., Tucson, AZ:

“The one thing that a number of attendees have talked about is returning the show location back to the Hilton.”
