LifeMinders.com reaffirmed its commitment to protecting member’s privacy yesterday by naming Jodee Batdorf, the company’s general counsel, as chief privacy officer.

“The appointment of one of the web’s first chief privacy officers ensures we continue to have the strongest privacy protection of any online marketer or advertiser,” said Stephen R. Chapin, president/CEO of LifeMinders.com. “Protecting the privacy of our 9 million members is a top priority for this company. Our actions today ensure that we will continue to protect every single detail on our members.”

Batdorf will be responsible for leading the company’s privacy protection policy. The policy has five main components: 100 percent opt-in policy, confirmation of interest in receiving e-mail, member data is not sold or shard, an unsubscribe option in every e-mail, honoring of TrusteLicensee guidelines.
