Levi Strauss & Co.’s Levi’s brand has awarded Wieden + Kennedy its advertising account for the Americas’ region following a review that began in October.
TBWACutwater (SF/LA), Ogilvy (NY/Chicago), Anomaly (NY), Goodby Silverstein (SF) and Young & Rubicam (NY) all participated in the pitch.
Bartle Bogle Hegarty London and Singapore, who did not participate in the pitch process, will retain the business in Europe and the Asia Pacific regions.
Levi’s declined to comment about any future marketing plans. Last summer the brand ran a viral video ad across YouTube, called “Live unbuttoned,” in which non-branded videos of young people doing stunts around jeans were posted on the viral video site.
Wieden + Kennedy, the agency that also represents Nike among others, declined to comment on the win.
