Great article by Tad Clarke on ID theft (“Identities Are Easy Picking,” Aug. 25). I think it should be legal for the authorities investigating ID theft to put the squeeze on the people who received the phone calls from the fraudulent caller to fess up who has been calling them.
Process of elimination would likely bag the bugger. Amazing insight on the ease of acquiring someone’s Social Security numbers, too.
