Latimes.com, Recycler.com Go Wireless

Los Angeles Times Interactive and its subsidiary Recycler.com recently made their online content available via wireless devices.

Using a technology made by AdaptiveInfo Inc., latimes.com stories and classified ads from Recycler.com will be delivered to the publications' registered wireless subscribers. Subscribers' viewing habits will be recorded by the technology, which will then prioritize recipients' content based on their interests.

“The technology will not only send me my international news,” said Don Schur, vice president of business development at AdaptiveInfo, Los Angeles. “It'll send me stuff on China if that was one of the countries I had been reading about. It can be as specific as military or disaster happenings in China.”
