The Direct Marketing Association has named William J. Kircher & Associates Inc., Washington, to work on its account for next year's annual meeting.
Kircher will handle exhibition sales and attendance promotion for the DMA's 84th annual conference and exhibition to be held Oct. 28-31, 2001, at Chicago's McCormick Place.
Responsibilities include direct mail promotions, business-to-business advertising and strategic marketing consulting.
Kircher specializes in the expositions industry. The agency has worked on domestic and international expositions and conferences for industries and professions such as retailing, marketing, electronics, food, automotive, computers, telecom, chemicals and education.
The DMA's annual conference attracts approximately 15,000 executives and professionals who are part of the $1.5 trillion direct marketing industry, according to Kircher. Participants include catalogers, fundraisers, publishers and Internet retailers.
