KickFire Upgrade Aids Communication Among Departments

KickFire this week introduced an upgraded version of its Web-building software to help firms improve communication among inhouse marketing departments, outside ad agencies and Web designers.

The new version of the software, also called KickFire, uses a central data warehouse to manage communications, project materials, scheduling and services. The program doubles as an online library of current and archived sales materials, marketing collateral, presentations and advertisements.

KickFire hosts sites starting at $100 monthly per user. Companies also can purchase the software to build sites outright for $200,000 to $250,000.

All companies using the system have ordered the hosted model so far, said Jim Graham, spokesman for KickFire, San Jose, CA.

FutureWorks, a public relations firm in San Jose, CA, recently used the system to streamline communications with clients. FutureWorks supplies each of its clients with a secured Web space featuring current and archived stories about the companies. Upon request, FutureWorks also posts stories about a client's competition.

“When a CEO says, 'Hey, I wonder what kind of press we have been getting,' he can go the Web portal and get a good idea in a short amount of time,” said Liz Weber, account manager at FutureWorks.
