Hispanic Teleservices Corp. will provide multilingual call-center support for a credit-card marketing campaign by Key Financial Systems, the companies said yesterday.
The Houston-based teleservices agency said it would provide the services of its 270-seat Houston call center and its 500-seat center in Monterrey, Mexico. Hispanic Teleservices also can offer a Hispanic-customer database with 32.8 million contacts.
Key Financial Systems, a subsidiary of Equitex, Englewood, CO, is working aggressively to make headway in the Hispanic market, the company said. Equitex said the financial services firm seeks to take advantage of the market's growing purchasing power, which in 2000 was $452 billion according to a University of Georgia study.
Further details about the campaign were not disclosed. Clearwater, FL-based Key Financial Systems markets credit cards through direct mail, print media, telemarketing and the Internet.
