Direct marketing veteran Joel Margulies partnered with Beverly Hills, CA-based entertainment and management firm Diversified Entertainment Inc. to create a full-service strategic marketing and branding agency.
The Margulies Agency starts with charter clients such as Safeway Supermarkets, Magic Johnson's Fundamentals of Basketball, The Cell ResQ Emergency Power System from Packaged Power, Asset Marketing, Bonus Mile Entertainment, Thermo-Acoustic Technologies and Kleen Technologies.
The agency will apply its concept of velocity branding — accelerating the lifecycle of a product to gain quick recognition. This is meant to aid product introductions, especially for brands with limited funding or transactional venues.
Margulies has more than 30 years of experience in marketing, advertising and branding. He was most recently co-founding principal and partner at Transactional Marketing Partners, a relationship marketing firm for the electronic retailing industry. He spent time at CBS Television and ad agencies Ted Bates, Klemtner, DDB, Lintas Worldwide and Ogilvy & Mather.
