J.C. Penney Co. Inc., Plano, TX, this week announced that Joe Boxer bedding and bath accessories will be available in 400 of its 1,100 department stores.
To drive traffic to retail stores, J.C. Penney preceded last week's announcement by launching a national print campaign. The bed and bath accessories were displayed last month on the front page of the J.C. Penney newspaper insert's “Home” section.
A company spokesperson said it was the only attempt to promote the products to its 12- to 25-year-old target market.
Joe Boxer merchandise is featured in J.C. Penney's 2001 Spring catalog.
