J. Crew Group Inc. ‘s consolidated revenues for the 13 weeks ended April 29 increased 14 percent to $240 million. Same-store sales increased 12 percent during the same period. Also, direct sales for the first quarter increased 12 percent to $66 million.
The New York-based apparel merchant’s operating income increased by $5 million to $28 million in the first quarter while net income was $8 million compared to $5 million last year.
