Instant Web Acquires New Press

The Instant Web Companies, Chanhassen, MN, bought a six-unit Harris M-1000 full web press for an undisclosed price.

The press will help the company grow its services to direct marketers, Instant Web said. It includes a finishing line with the latest in Scheffer systems, including the Series III rotary cutter and TED table.

Also on the new press are four double-tiered plow stations, which provide format flexibility with up to 18 plow folds. The press was custom-designed to deliver format flexibility and fast speed to market, two features Instant Web said it had identified as key issues to direct mailers.

According to Instant Web, the press's in-line finishing capabilities include die-cutting, scratch-off, perfing, scoring and personalization. It can deliver products in sheeted, roll-to-roll or finished in-line formats.
