PC direct marketer Insight Enterprises, Tempe, AZ, last week reported record sales, earnings and earnings per share for the third quarter, marking the 13th consecutive quarter of sales and earnings growth. Sales for the reseller of PCs, servers, software and peripherals grew 52 percent to $261.2 million, net earnings were up 47 percent to $5.2 million while EPS rose 41 percent to 31 cents. For the first nine months of 1998, sales were up 60 percent to $705.4 million, net earnings up 54 percent to $14.2 million and EPS up 47 percent to 85 cents. Insight president Tim Crown cited outbound telesales and a BTB campaign as the main drivers of its record growth.
