InfoUSA Announces Pay Cuts, Hopes to Save Jobs

In an attempt to avoid layoffs, infoUSA employees making more than $25,000 a year will take pay cuts starting in January, according to a report in the Omaha World-Herald.

The 10 percent pay cut applies to the portion of each employee's salary that exceeds $25,000. For example, an employee earning $30,000 would lose 10 percent of $5,000, bringing the salary to $29,500.

According to the report, the pay cut affects 1,300 to 1,400 of the Omaha, NE-based firm's 2,200 employees.

It is unclear whether the pay cuts apply to infoUSA subsidiaries Donnelley Marketing, Greenwich, CT; or Walter Karl, Pearl River, NY. Calls to all three for comment were not returned.
