Inforonics Inc. and Cybrant Corp. yesterday announced plans to combine e-commerce services into one suite during the next few months.
Although the companies are still developing the package, they are courting a “huge retail client” with the services, said Jeff Kosiorek, marketing manager at Inforonics, Littleton, MA. He said the companies were using the experience with the undisclosed retailer to shape the components of their offering.
Inforonics brings Web hosting, content management and call center services to the deal. Cybrant, Mountain View, CA, brings its product configuration system and quote manager application to the service offering.
Kosiorek said the agreement between the two firms will broaden their offerings and subsequently bolster their market positions in the e-commerce services industry.
He said any firm looking to build e-commerce sites — although catalog companies could prove to be a viable target — could use the package. Kosiorek said it was unclear whether the services package would have a name.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
