Nowadays, almost every company is expected to have a customer service component to its social media. The report from Ambassador shows that 71% of online customers expect to receive assistance within 5 minutes of
reaching out to a company via social media. That doesn’t leave much of a window, so it’s now more crucial than ever for companies to have fast, efficient social media responses. 

Other takeaways:

– 33% of consumers would rather contact a company through social media than by
telephone.

– 70% of those helped via social customer service return as a customer in
the future.
