Last week, we reported on Google’s plans to change its mobile search algorithm to favor mobile-friendly results. Here’s an infographic from multi-channel personalization vendor Monetate illustrating the potential benefits of creating one design for multiple devices.

Monetate CEO Lucinda Duncalfe said: “Operating with a ‘mobile-first’ mentality is the baseline standard today. Best in class brands are thinking not just about whether their site is mobile-friendly but about the full customer experience.” Google’s strategy underlines the need for brands to abandon a one-size-fits-all strategy, if they haven’t already.
