iGive.com, Evanston, IL, this week reported that it began delivering the funds raised through its online purchase-and-donate program to participating nonprofit organizations. Among those receiving checks were: Lost Children’s Network, $1,365; The Brian Littrell Endowment for Pediatric Cardiology, $8,571; The Caroline Dorough-Cochran Lupus Memorial Foundation, $1,852; and the Siamese Rescue Center for Los Angeles received a check for $1,006 bringing the total it has raised in working with iGive.com to $6,000.
It delivered a total of 2,107 checks totaling $89,075 this month. Members of the iGive.com program can shop at any of the 130 participating online merchants in the iGive.com online mall. Among the online merchants taking part in the program are JC Penney, J.Crew, Sharper Image, WholeFoods, eToys, drugstore.com, CDNow, Dell Computers and Avon.
With the holiday season around the corner, iGive.com is jump starting the donation process by providing a $10 bonus to consumers’ favorite charity the first time they shop at iGive.com.
