Icelandair, Columbia, MD, this week launched its mobile phone online service that allows customers to book and purchase airline tickets using their wireless action protocol-compatible digital telephones and other wireless devices at any time from any location.
WAP provides the technology that enables digital mobile phone users to log onto Icelandair's WAP Internet pages in order to make travel arrangements.
Customers must register with the online reservation system on Icelandair's Web site in order to receive a user ID and password.
