Hyatt Hotels Corp. is using Omniture's SiteCatalyst Web analytics product for its hotels nationwide.
The hosted services lets Hyatt see in real time the factors that influence e-commerce for its 121 domestic Hyatt hotels and resorts. The aim is to understand and drive customer conversion rates.
SiteCatalyst's functioning is simple. Its scalability enables an individual report for each Hyatt hotel. Each property has its own account, allowing only managers for that hotel to see their individual reports.
Segmentation for several Hyatt properties includes mini-site information too, including secondary sites linked to a spa, golf course or a restaurant.
Hyatt said tracking revenue, bookings and conversion ratios through its old set of reporting tools was laborious compared with using SiteCatalyst.
“We needed the ability to understand trends associated with revenue and conversion ratios across multiple time periods and be able to drill down into these trends by search engines, referring URLs, campaigns, et cetera,” Peter Chesek, manager of Hyatt.com, said in a statement.
