Hughes Network System and eRestaurant Services yesterday announced a joint marketing and sales agreement to provide integrated solutions for the restaurant sector.
HNS and eRestaurant will cross-sell each other's products and services to the restaurant market. HNS provides broadband-by-satellite, and eRestaurant provides hosted browser-based software for the restaurant industry.
The companies said each will contract and manage its own service, giving the restaurateur direct access to knowledge in each of the technologies. The combined offering features eRestaurant's Web-enabled decision support and food management software and HNS' DIRECWAY Restaurant Solutions, a services program that features high-speed satellite communication connectivity to restaurant operations everywhere.
