Hudson’s Bay Company Selects MicroStrategy

Hudson’s Bay Company, Canada’s largest retailer and oldest corporation, has chosen McLean, VA-based MicroStrategy as the provider of an enterprise-wide platform for accessing, analyzing, and sharing information, MicroStrategy said yesterday.

The deal is valued at more than $1 million.

Five thousand users at Hudson’s Bay — including store managers, executives and analysts — as well as outside vendors are expected to use the platform. Specific applications will include reporting of store sales and advertising expenditures, merchandise management, category reviews, vendor scorecards, financial analysis, and supply chain reporting and analysis.
