HSN's direct marketing subsidiary, HSN Improvements LLC, reported this week that it will acquire the Alsto catalog from Dick Blick Holdings, Galesburg, IL.
St. Petersburg, FL-based HSN Improvements' catalog portfolio includes HSN Improvements and Home Focus. Alsto, a catalog and online marketer of outdoor décor and furnishings, will broaden its reach. Its Web site is alsto.com.
Dick Blick is leaving the home décor market to pay more attention to its core business.
“The divestiture of our Alsto brand is consistent with our continued focus on becoming the leading reseller of fine artist supplies in the United States,” Robert Buchsbaum, CEO of Dick Blick Holdings, said in a statement.
Terms were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close at the end of December.
